About Steve
First, I want to say "thank you" for taking the time to visit my portfolio. As a graphic designer, I feel your work really tells a lot about a person and I hope you're getting the idea that I like to work in a wide range of media and technology which helps widen the horizon for effective messaging.
What in the world is "Effective Messaging?"
I graduated from Texas State University in 2006 with a BA in Mass Communications concentrating in Advertising and a minor in Graphic Design. So what this basically means, is I'm not going to design something that I think I would like, but will design something that appeals to your target market; or the level at which your message is effective to who you are trying to talk to.
This is the state of mind to which I've worked at both an architectural firm as their graphic designer and as a web designer for a large church in Austin. My goal is to make sure the efforts that are put into a design piece have the greatest return on investments by making sure the proper research is done ahead of time of your target market and tracking the results to ensure you're getting the expected results. Otherwise, you're just spinning your wheels.
So what does all this mean to you?
If you have a product or a service you are supplying to customers, unless you're doing work on the moon, there's a really good chance you have competitors. The importance of standing out among your competitors is essential to acquiring new business and maintaining existing clients. Whether your realize it or not, we're making first impressions every day, and often reshape existing impressions we have about a product or company. What do you want your existing clients and possible new clients to know about you? This is where a person with a background in advertising/marketing with strong graphic design skills come into play.
Day in and day out, I'm watching advertising, researching websites, studying and critiquing videos I see on television, looking through magazines to get the pulse of industries and I'm not liking what I'm seeing. There's a lot of bad advertising being sent out to the masses!
Contact me and let's talk about what you're doing to be the front runner in the industry. If you're not the front runner, then someone else is.
